Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of developers with responsibilities including: routine one-on-ones, performance reviews, career development, technical leadership, project management, and more.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously within your team at every stage, from ideation and requirements gathering through delivery and maintenance.

• Perform in-depth business analysis on projects to deliver results and insights to stakeholders.

• Work across various teams and functions (Engineering, Product, International, Finance, Legal, Sales/CS, and Marketing) to execute initiatives and tasks

• Add to the team’s infrastructure of algorithms, automation, data mining & quantitative business analytics

Who You Are

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree majoring in Computer Science, technical Engineering, Physics, Math, Statistics or a related analytics field, or equivalent experience

• Highly resourceful and a go-getter attitude.

Intellectually flexible

• Solid business sense with a passion for driving results.

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience in the industry

• Minimum 2 years of engineering management experience

• Ability to write production-quality code as needed, as well as mentor team members to do the same

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles (design patterns, OOP, best practices, etc)

• Experience with relational databases (SQL) or noSQL storage system

• Solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures

• Self-motivated and a genuine desire to learn new skills

• Software architecture experience

• Ability to define a product roadmap or strategy in partnership with product managers.

Preferred:

• Experience with Python and Java

• Experience with NodeJS, React, and Typescript

• Experience building and maintaining large scale content websites
