Harbor Freight Tools USA, Inc.: Corporate Security Manager

The Corporate Security Manager will, among other things, (a) be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for our employees, vendors, and visitors, (b) develop, manage, execute and continuously improve corporate security processes and protocols, and (c) lead a team of security specialists at our corporate offices.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and implementing security policies and protocols to ensure (i) the physical safety of all facility employees and visitors, and (ii) the security of company owned property and other assets.Creating/designing processes and strategies to respond to critical events that may impact the company.Directing investigations and other responses to accidents/incidents, including interviewing witnesses and victims, reviewing complaints; gathering/preserving physical evidence and completing reports.Investigating and preparing reports on facility maintenance and safety conditions.Investigating fires, hazardous situations and other facility related incidents.Assisting Fire Department/EMS/Police in connection with the evacuation of associates and visitors.Ensuring that daily administrative documentation (relating to security) is completed timely.Ensuring that (a) all company employees have proper company issued identification, and (b) all data entry related to the company’s access control systems (CCURE) is complete and current.Partnering with the human resources team to manage the onboarding of new and temporary associates (including badge photos, biometric time clocks, and information data entry into CCURE).Recruiting, training and supervising all facility security guards.Managing and monitoring (a) the carpool program, and (b) the electric vehicle program.Monitoring the CCTV system and reporting any service issues to the facilities team.Developing a process and maintaining documentation on all temporary restraining orders.Enforcing facility safety (including card access processes and functions).Creating incident reports relating to security breaches, vehicle accidents, safety incidents, etc.Additional Duties as assigned by managementRegular Attendance is requiredScopeStaff supervision and Development – YesDecision Making – Yes,o Drafts policy documents and resolves problemso Provides data for decision supporto Negotiates on behalf of managemento Provides consultation or expert adviceo Participates in planning business objectiveso Represents the company in handling complaints, disputes or resolving grievancesTravel – less than 10 %Location – Corporate HQ#LI-RR1#HFTCORPRequirementsJob Qualifications – Education and Experience RequiredMinimum of 5 years in building security in an office/hotel/campus environmentBachelor’s Degree required (additional education in security administration or similar field desired)Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.G.
