Summary:

PlutoTV operates a complex ecosystem of users, advertisers, content providers and client applications. This role is critical to drive the development of the data assets that provide visibility into ecosystem performance, as well as using those assets to identify areas of opportunity.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing analysis and insights to support overall Pluto TV streaming business(es) with a focus on the levers to improve performance as defined by engagement, retention, and monetization
  • Deep dive into diagnostics of performance anomalies and suggest remedies
  • Building out a product-diagnostics framework for churn
  • Work closely with the BI analytics teams to ensure consistency of definitions and an understanding of any divergence
  • Build out insights dashboards and/or analytic templates within product analysis tools
  • Design and/or prototype cloud-based schema to support product analytics
  • Mentor other product managers to QA and optimize queries/analysis

Qualities / Experience We’re Seeking

We believe the right individual will have the following skills and experience in order to be successful in this role:

  • 5+ years of experience in an Analytics or Database manager role within a technology or e-commerce organization
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative subject area or equivalent experience,
  • Solid analytic toolkit and data know-how
  • Ability to frame quantitative insights as business insights with clear take-aways
  • Familiarity with data ingestion, ETL processes and workflows on cloud infrastructure
  • 2+ years experience directly authoring SQL scripts in a big data environment
  • Experience building data assets via Airflow DAGs
  • Working knowledge of Jupyter and Python
  • Experience with video ad technology and marketplaces
