The portfolio includes heritage brands JOHNSON’S® Baby, Listerine, and BAND-AID® Brands as well as leading beauty and skin care brands such as NEUTROGENA®, AVEENO® and more.The Category Insights Manager role is responsible for driving category strategies with Albertsons that result in market leading category growth and joint value creation for both Johnson & Johnson and Albertsons. This individual will be responsible for providing the customer with key shopper and category insights, developing merchandising and promotional strategies, developing segmentation strategies, and be able to organize, analyze, and draw conclusions from a variety of syndicated data sources such as IRI, Nielsen, and EYC to independently discern trends and provide insights-based recommendations. This person will serve as the primary category resource and trusted advisor for multiple stakeholders at Albertsons including (but not limited to) National Sales Managers, Directors, business analysts, schematics and other business partners as needed. Additionally, this partner will provide business consultancy for key stakeholders in J&J in the shopper and category teams, customer strategy, and CFT by providing POS updates, line reviews, promotional reviews, and ad hoc special projects based on the need for in-depth analysis of data or other analytics. This person should be an expert in analytics, understand Albertsons business processes, and develop planogram strategies and flow aligning with customer goals and shopper insights using Apollo software. This person should be able to operate a high level fast paced, complex, and changing business environment. This role will require up to 25% travel for customer visits.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To• Influence key stakeholders both internally and at the customer• Collaborate across multiple business functions to drive strategies• High proficiency with analytics• Effective communication and negotiation skills• Become a “trusted business advisor” to Albertsons to drive category and J&J brand growth• Deliver persuasive presentations based on data-driven insights and facts to gain support for business strategies and/or initiatives• Prioritize competing priorities and fast paced, complex environment• Link data from multiple sources to tell a coherent, persuasive category story – inclusive of syndicated and loyalty data• Function at a high level independent of supervision (self-starter)• Drive strategic initiatives at the total store and pharmacy level• High degree of understanding on industry standards, marketplace and shopper insights across multiple categories• Management of Albertsons business processes such as (but not limited to): cross-manufacturer reset process, new-item cut ins, category reviews, segmentation, digital initiatives and divisional-level insights.• Ability to manage/lead strategic customer projects affecting total team outside their day-day business scopeQualifications• 4-yr bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required• A minimum of 6 years prior experience in consumer package goods and/or retail including prior experience in category management, business analytics, insights or direct customer sales is required• Ability to influence key stakeholders both internally and at the customer required• Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple business functions to drive strategies required• High proficiency with analytics is required• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required• Effective communication and negotiation skills are required• Understanding of Nielsen and IRI syndicated data systems is required• EYC/Loyalty and Apollo/Planogram Software experience is highly preferred• Strong command of key shopper, category, and POS metrics is required• Ability to deliver persuasive presentations based on data-driven insights and facts to gain support for business strategies and/or initiatives required• Ability to effectively prioritize competing priorities and fast paced, complex environment required• Ability to link data from multiple sources to tell a coherent, persuasive category story required• Ability to function at a high level independent of supervision (self-starter) requiredJohnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
