UCLA’s Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) is dedicated to the advancement of the contemporary performing arts in all disciplines — dance, music, spoken word and theater, as well as emerging digital, collaborative and cross-platforms — by leading artists from around the globe.
Our mission aligns with UCLA’s mission of education, research and civic engagement by providing cultural, experiential programs that provoke inquiry and facilitate connection and creativity. Guided by our special relationship to both UCLA and the greater metropolitan area, CAP UCLA facilitates the exchange of art and ideas between artists and the community.
The CAP UCLA Marketing Department is responsible for executing campaigns across all performances and institutional initiatives. This position will play a crucial role in a small team that covers a lot of ground. We are looking for a social media wizard and a team player!
Duties include:
– Assisting with the production of house programs from beginning to end
– Production, distribution and storage of season brochures and other institutional publications
– Oversee social media platforms (FB, IG, Twitter, YouTube), develop strategy, create content, manage day-to-day posting, engage with our community, and optimize social media activity.
– Monitor email and social media cross promotional opportunities with other LA arts organizations and community groups with solicitation, execution and tracking of such campaigns.
– Participate in storytelling with copy by creating persuasive writing to promote the institution and performances
– Monitor department’s operations budget which includes processing purchase requisition forms, working with the Manager of Finance and Accounts to ensure accuracy with each order placed
– Assist with yearly fiscal closing process of the operations budget which includes following and complying to fiscal closing deadlines.
