nn n Job Summary n nn The Vice President of Development is responsible for the day-to-day development and productions of the TV studio’s annual slate.
nn n Responsibilities to include, but not limited to: n nn *Oversee the development of new scripted series from concept to series for distribution on multiple platforms nn nn *Supervise series once in production nn nn *Identify, solicit, evaluate new IP and development ideas/concepts for series nn nn *Give script notes on projects and point key packaging discussions nn nn *Share key talent, pitches & coverage with team nn nn* Develop and maintain relationships with talent (writers, producers, directors, actors, authors, filmmakers, etc.) nn nn* Provide ongoing guidance on casting decisions nn nn *Spearhead problem solving and crisis management resolution with studio partners and outside producers on all creative and production issues nn nn *Manage special projects and assignments as required nn nn *Lead and mentor more junior team members nn nn * Other related duties as assigned nn nBasic Qualificationsn nn Basic qualifications: nn nn * 7-10 years of related experience with demonstrated roles of increasing responsibility nn nn* Deep understanding of the scripted series development and production processes nn nn* Strong relationships with agents, managers, writers and producers nn nn* Significant knowledge of the network television and streaming television landscapes nn nAdditional Qualificationsn nn Desired skills/experience nn nn * Bachelor’s degree preferred nn nn * Strong development history and talent for identifying unique material nn nn * Creativity and curiosity nn nn *Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management.
