BOEING: System Safety Space And Launch Manager – Satellites

Boeing is seeking a (Level K) to join our team in El Segundo, California.

This role primarily focuses on Safety leadership across the Satellite and propriety programs.

In joining this program, you will be part of an outstanding team of technical designers & engineers making history as we shape this one of a kind Position Responsibilities:* Manage engineering and technical activities in the area of System Safety on Commercial and Government Satellite programs* Ensure proper implementation of Division and customer system safety requirements into the design, test, and operation of Boeing products* Manage safety personnel responsible for deliverable documents, supplier safety programs, and preparation of analyses to include software safety, fault tree analysis, and hardware safety* Provide regular status reports to Boeing management, program management,and the Safety Review Board* Serve as a contact and coordinate with internal and external customers to include project leads, other managers, and system safety engineering personnel* Provide expert industry insight forsystem safety requirements that affect the design, production, and operation of satellites and proprietary products* Serves as a company resource expert in the definition of system safety program fundamentals including risk identification, analysis and control of hardware and software hazards* Supportdesign activities providing advice and counsel in the area of Satellite and propriety system development* Mentors and trains others in risk management methods develops new risk analysis processes, methods, and toolsThis position requires an active U.S.

Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S.

Citizenship Required).

Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):* Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry* 10+ years of experience in an engineering discipline* 5+ years of experience in Systems and Safety Engineering* 5+ years of experience in satellites development and deliveryPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):* Previous engineering technical lead experienceRelocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
