General Responsibilities

Position can be based in Los Angeles or San Francisco

JOB PURPOSE:

Efficiently manage Fleet Services to maximize fleet utilization rate on new and preowned vehicles purchases, vehicles with registration changes or renewals to reduce costs to the company. Primarily responsible for Western half of U.S. and backup for Manager Fleet Services for Eastern half of U.S. when needed.

This role has an impact on financial performance, government compliance, ABS compliance, fleet procurement, planning, operations and customer experience.

Job Contributions- what will you do

SYSTEM SUPPORT

  • Work with Fleet Services System team and Operations on Project O.N.E. as a SME to analyze, test, fix, support and train on processes associated with the in-fleeting, de-fleeting of vehicles and registration renewal process.
  • Maintain work processes and train operations on in-fleeting, de-fleeting, IRP, renewal and plate management processes .

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Encourages and maintains a ‘Best practice sharing culture’, always striving to find ways to improve service and change mind set.

FLEET OPERATIONS

  • Monitor and assist field research for New No MSO, New Not Registered, Pre-Owned Not Registered , and Hard Registration vehicles.
  • Drive timely cadence of tag renewals to reduce time and additional costs.
  • Drive Title, Registration and 2nd Key process standardization
  • Manage registration efficiencies and economics of best process method, local or through registration partner. Assist with setting up new registration vendors.

REPORTING

  • Provide tax and DMV audit reporting as requested by states or Estero Tax Department.
  • Responsible for preparing and analyzing data for upper management presentations.
  • Publish KPI reporting for areas identified for Shared Fleet Services.
  • Daily registration renewal reports to help locations identify aging renewal requests and get guidance on how to resolve.

COMPLIANCE

  • Responsible for reporting on monthly IRP compliance by state to ensure registration requirements are being met. Identify areas of opportunity to plate in an alternate state.
  • Work with electronic title holder vendor to ensure proper set up when state requires titles to be held electronically.
  • Provide necessary document for Side Car Audit to show proof vehicles has correct title owner name, lienholder name and titles are received.

Essential Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in leadership and organizational skills are required as well as knowledge of rental or business fleets and/or the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of Fleet Systems (Tandem FOS, CARRENT, VISION,) and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of company personnel and vendors
  • Must be comfortable with pulling data from Hertz systems, internet and compiling data
  • Ability to set priorities as well as handle multiple tasks
  • Detail oriented, must be very accurate and able to pay attention to details
  • Proficient or advanced skills in Microsoft and reporting tools
  • Must be an independent worker and able to work with minimal supervision
