The role will accomplish through successful customer execution of Amplify category and brand objectives and strategies aligned with the Sales Department and Amplify Snack Brand’s corporate priorities.

The primary responsibility for this position will be to execute corporate strategy to drive relationships and sales specifically with our Regional partners in So Cal, Nor Cal, and Phoenix, including but not limited to: mentoring and developing sales staff, top line strategy development, profitable growth, and senior level relationships.

Top Accounts include Raley’s, Stater Bros, Smart & Final, and SaveMart.

Responsibilities: Direct oversight of achieving financial results at assigned customers and aligning Amplify brand strategiesProvide leadership through direction, coaching and planning to increase the sales team performance, including leading team customer planning process, inclusive of fiscally responsible and coordinated trade planning processes, trade effectiveness and efficiency, etc.Develop and implement strategic account plans to grow revenue and retail programs within company guidelines and budgetsLead routine and ad-hoc brand specific business and customer analyses (i.E.: brand performance, competitive analysis, consumer tracking, customer/shopper tracking, shipment, customer spins and other analyses) incorporating varied data sources (i.E.: POS, panel, Spectra, etc.)Effectively establish, lead, monitor and course-correct strategic team sales and agency priorities.

Lead development of customer category management platforms and selling tools for Amplify Snack Brands which influence customer category strategy, assortment, pricing, promotion, and layout / locationIdentify and lead the development of retailer solutions for base business and/or innovation through the integration of consumer, shopper, marketplace and business insights gleaned from data sources and business analysisCollaborate with cross-functional internal and sales teams in coordinating transparent customer sales planning, volume forecasting and trade reportingManage executive level relationships with distributor networks as needed to maximize brand awareness and sales performancePartner with the Executive Leadership Team and Sales Leadership Team to identify opportunities for sales process improvementDevelopment and execution of custom co-marketing programs aligning with customer shopper activation strategyManage outside vendors and agencies for maximum engagement, support, effectiveness and efficiencyLead, train, monitor performance and develop skills, competencies and capabilities of the sales team: Delegates effectively and monitors the team to ensure they have the skills and resources to meet deadlines and commitments Qualifications: BA/BS DegreeMinimum 10 years related industry experience with CPG companyProven experience and strong understanding of channel dynamics, relationships requiredPast work experience with serving major clients is highly desirable.Strong understanding of category management/shopper insights practices and principlesProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish sales goalsExceptional leadership, presentation, strategy development, communication and influencing skills.Proven track record of sales success including exceeding sales targets and strategic alignment with retailers.Successful growth of national branded consumer packaged goodsStrong understanding of P& L dynamicsStrategic channel insights and ability to drive effective customer and channel planning processesKnowledge of industry Category Management processes & systems (POS, HH Panel,Spectra, etc.)Ability to interpret data and determine key actions in responseSuperior communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to be effective in highly volatile and ever-changing marketplaceDemonstrated analytical, collaborative and consultative abilitiesAbility to travel ~60% of time #LI-MB1 Amplify Snack Brands, a division of The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
