The Tax Performance Engineering Managing Director applies industry knowledge and experience in order to collaborate with clients of the firm to implement tax automation tools.

These tools mainly include but are not limited to ONESOURCE Tax Provision, ONESOURCE Income Tax and Longview Tax Provision.

Additional automation tools may include Corptax, RPA, data analytics and other products we are asked to implement.

This is a hands-on, data-entry, implementation-focused position.

A strong knowledge of Direct Income taxes is a must in order to understand the mechanics of the tools and how to apply best practices for building the systems for client use.

You will be taking client Excel models, and using that data to implement and configure the appropriate tax technology tool.

This role writes system user manuals for the clients.

The Tax Performance Engineering Managing Director is responsible for marketing, networking and business development.

The role is also responsible for collaborating with other offices within the firm to assist with internal training, local-client implementations for internal provision preparation, internal local-office support.

Other responsibilities may include training at client locations, providing support to clients post implementation, attending and speaking at various conferences and events throughout the U.S., assisting clients during close periods with their use of the implemented tool on site at client offices, and preparing proposals and fee estimates for implementations.

Qualifications

Education:

– Bachelors degree required.

Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or Technology, preferred.

– Graduate degree, preferred

Experience:

– Ten (10) or more years of experience with technology or tax systems, required

License/Certifications:

– CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S.

jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations) preferred

– Alteryx, RPA or other Analytics software certification, preferred

– ASC 740 tax accounting, consulting or income tax compliance preferred

Software:

– Experience systems such as Oracle, Thomson Reuters, ONESOURCE, Longview, Corptax or GoSystems, preferred

– Experience with RPA tools ((UiPath, Blue Prism, PowerAutomate, Automation Anywhere, WinAutomation, etc.), preferred

– Experience with ETL tools (Power Query, Power Pivot, Tableau Prep, etc.), preferred

– Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.), preferred

– Proficient in Microsoft Excel, preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

– Demonstrated ability to work well remotely

– Solid verbal and written communication skills

– Strong people skills, including training/instruction with professionals at all levels

– Executive presence and the ability to be primary contact for the client, prepare and conduct presentations to clients and potential clients

– Strong client development/relationship-building skills

– Demonstrated sound decision-making skills

– Ability to work within teams

– A basic understanding of international tax concepts as they impact reporting in accordance with ASC 740

– A basic knowledge and skill level in engagement management including but not limited to, preparation of budgets, project plans, engagement letters, billing and collection, etc.

– Ability to complete projects independently

– Ability to travel 15-30% of the time
