Tuna Sales Specialist

Our client Our client is a leader in the fast-paced and highly competitive fresh & frozen seafood market.

The supply source is a fully integrated salmon, mussels and langostino lobster operation in Chile augmented with strategic seafood supplier partners.

Adding this year into their portfolio Tuna, as part of their products.

The company has a long-standing, highly reputable, and consolidated presence in the US seafood supplier market (in addition to other global markets).

Customer focus on national and regional restaurant and retail chains, seafood, and broad-line distributors, and cruise lines.

Product segments include consumer branded, trade branded, and private label.

Propose of the position The company is implementing a global initiative towards company-wide and product-specific marketing and branding in parallel with its product development and value-added initiatives.

As part of these new projects, the company is looking for a knowledgeable salesperson who can lead the tuna sales of the company nationwide.

This position will be based in Miami and as part of the role, some national traveling will be required.

Key Responsibilities: To lead the growth of the company?s tuna sales in Food Service, Retailer, and Industrial segments.

Lead and execute all sales activities in the designated territory.

Interact with senior management ensuring alignment and timely sharing of relevant updates.

Lead the efforts to penetrate new customers.

Cultivate relationships with key customers.

Ensure compliance with established contracting and pricing parameters.

How does the Tuna Sales Specialist look like?

5 years in the fresh tuna/mussels commodity business.

Could be with a supplier, a distributor, or a buyer.

Current and relevant contacts in the tuna (or mussels) sector within the US.

Familiarity with the dynamics of international supply chain-based sales.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong ability to influence, both internally and with customers and other stakeholders.

Flexibility to travel to visit key customers and open new market opportunities when needed.

Bachelor?s degree in a relevant area of study required.

MBA or equivalent is a plus.

Advance English required?.

Conversational Spanish is strongly preferred.
