Responsibilities Meet with clients to assess their current needs and propose solutions Develop and sustain strong client relationships to become their most trusted business advisor Keep up-to-date on current tax procedures and changes in tax regulations/laws Actively participate in internal and external tax trainings Plan and manage budgets, billing, and staffing Manage engagements effectively to ensure exceptional client service Train, supervise, and delegate assignments to tax seniors and staff Review complex tax returns and associated workpapers prepared by staff and senior associates and provide timely, specific, and meaningful feedback Lead and mentor staff to meet individual professional development goals Provide constructive feedback to both superiors and subordinates through the semi-annual review process Identify new client and business development opportunities Conduct a primary and secondary review of partnership income tax returns Evaluate the tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage the clients Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 704(b) accounts Direct and manage the state tax compliance, composite filings, and PTE filing activities Qualifications 7 years public accounting experience serving a tax role, preparing and reviewing all types of tax returns Demonstrated experience managing multiple client engagements with a financial accounting background. Proficient working understanding of sub-chapter K partnership taxation rules Experience advising small businesses in tax and accounting best practices.
