We are looking for an Optometrist to join our team in our busy practice! Our practice has been established for 10 years and our wonderful technicians have maintained a positive environment for our patients & employees. Our goal as a practice is to ensure our patients are getting the proper care in both routine AND medical exams. Our technicians are here to help assist any doctor needs!
- PT flow is about 2/3 per hour.
- Doctor will have a 30 minute lunch.
- Hours: 10-5:30 PM (last PT at 5:15)
- Days: Either FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME
- Part-Time: 2-3 Days/wk
- Full-Time: 5 Days/wk
- Quarterly Bonus Pay for Doctor
**Some dabbling in Spanish is a definite plus, as it is rewarded with genuine patient appreciation and enthsusiasm, although all our staff do speak Spanish and can translate.**
Responsibilities & Skills
- Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests
- Diagnose defects of the eye, such as myopia, astigmatism, gluacoma, & ocular disease
- Provide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to sight issues based on each patient’s specific case and medical history
- Dry eye treatments
- Fundus Photography (machine included)
- Prescribe medications, eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Advise patients on proper eye care techniques
- Refer eye doctors and ophthalmologists when patients need to undergo a surgery or in cases of severe eye injuries
- Hands-on experience with eye examination tools, such as ophthalmoscope and tonometer
