The main goal is to always ensure timely, accurate and secure shipping and distribution, negotiating the price of transportation with carriers.QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.High school diploma or GED. Computer skills are necessary: MS Office, UPS Worldwide, FedEx, ERP. Two years’ experience as a Forklifts Operator and/or Truck Driver. One-year supervisory experience as a proven manager.One-year shipping experience. Insure compliance with all the documents required by the area (signed BOL, signed POD, etc.). Must be reliable and a Team Player.DUTIES:Responsible for all outbound freight (local and long haul) and for most inbound freight.Schedules and coordinates product pick-up and deliveries with freight and/or companies.Create a culture of safety and teamwork in the department.Insure that employees are in compliance with all safety rules and GMPs.Maintain vehicles, Fuel/Service/Cleanliness etc.Manage shipping cost to maintain budgets.Manage warehouses by keeping the electronic system updated and locations organized.Schedules employees to manage daily deliveries.Follow customer special requirementsDaily communication with plants, Scheduling, Customer Service and management.Completes all necessary documentation for domestic and international shipments.Assist Shipping/Receiving clerk when necessary: Loading and unloading trucks.1st. stage inspection (check for damages, correct material, etc.) on incoming outside processed orders.Follows all safety rules, work instructions, policies, and procedures.Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.Knowledge of government regulations for freight, shipping domestic and international.Responsible for tracking warehouse Inventory.Advance Paper Box offers an excellent benefits package including Competitive wages, medical/life insurance, vacation and profit sharing plan.
