Our client is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer and Project Manager with 10 years of experience in planning, design, and project management on water and wastewater and municipal infrastructure projects to work from their San Antonio Office focusing on utility design and municipal water/wastewater projects.
Recent and ongoing projects include water and wastewater pipelines, lift stations, water modeling, City Engineering services including development plan and plat reviews, capital planning, drainage analysis, roadway, and storm drainage design.Primary responsibilities for this position include:Working with junior staff and assisting in the direction of other technical staff to produce quality designs and plansPerforming civil engineering planning and analysis, detailing, and plan set productionProject management responsibilities include task, budget, and schedule management, as well as client interaction.The candidate will have also the opportunity to manage, lead, and develop junior staff while working on a diverse range of public infrastructure projects while providing technical support on projects in the Houston and Central Texas offices.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringTexas PE license or the ability to obtain a Texas PE license within 6 months of hire10-15 years of experience in municipal infrastructure including water and wastewater, roadway and drainage project planning, detailed design, and construction administration3 or more years of experience in project management and client service, including successful budget and schedule controls3 or more years of experience in managing and mentoring junior staffExperience in MicroStation and/or AutoCADAbility to work independently at times and as part of a multidisciplinary team at othersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to convey engineering information concisely to technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred Qualifications:The ideal candidate would possess specific experience performing work in small and medium-size towns or Municipal Utility Districts with experience giving Council/Board presentations.Experience with writing Statements of Qualifications and sales activitiesthe offer: They provide opportunities in the fields of transportation, water, wastewater, transportation, stormwater, and planning.
