We’re looking for a Sr.
Manager, Product Design Engineering to join the Snap Lab team!
What you’ll do:
Build and nurture a team of exceptional engineers and technical leaders
Influence the development and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions
Design, prototype and launch a variety of exciting new products
Collaborate with multiple design and engineering teams as well as external vendors and partners
Drive all phases of mechanical development from concept to mass production
Develop and conduct technical design reviews to identify problems, select designs, materials, and technologies
Lead the product design engineering team members to greatness
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D documentation (NX experience preferred)
Knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing methods including prototyping, process development, and mass production
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
Exceptional organizational skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering or equivalent years of experience
10+ years of consumer electronics product engineering experience
5+ years of experience managing a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field
Strong technical background in product design, system architecture, tolerance analysis, structural analysis, top-down CAD design, and detailed plastic and metal part design
Experience building and developing cutting edge consumer grade devices
Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company
