FTI will provide Program Manager support for analyzing and developing budgets, program requirements, configuration management, risk management, service catalog, interface management, integration management, supporting across ground enterprise systems. This tasking will comprise: * Provide strategic guidance on the future direction of the program and other related ground technology/programs.
* Manage and coordinate program deliverables including Monthly Status Reports, Program Management Review meetings, Schedule updates.
* Work with Director of Space programs and/or FTI Business Development on identifying new opportunities both within other SSC directorates as well as other Colorado Springs and/or El Segundo based aerospace companies.
* Leverage FTI Technology tools and solutions to enhance space strategy supporting modelling, decision support and life-cycle management capability for both current and future programs.
* Perform competitive analysis, track industry trends, and maintain extensive knowledge of market conditions.
* Support the development of critical program Acquisition Strategy Plans
* Support day to day acquisition planning by utilizing DoD 5000.02 and FAR/DFAR regulations * Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
* Support Program Objective Memorandum (POM) builds and execution
* Gathers data to support product research, development, integration and test
* Works with customer to gather required data from end-users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to create funding requirements
* Serves as liaisons between engineering and non-engineering departments to ensure that all targets and requirements are met
* Keeps program managers and other project stakeholders informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results
* Experience with planning programming and executing DoD budgets
* Travel: 25%
Education/Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
* 10+ years Space Systems acquisition experience at SSC/SMC.
* 15+ years Space Systems acquisition specializing in satellites, control and ground segment, communications systems.
* 10+ years of Program Management and/or supervisory experience with at least 2 years in a DoD environment.
* Experience managing complex projects with both functional and geographically diverse teams while developing talent.
* Knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other appropriate polices.
* Direct experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity, as well as experience in leading a multi-vendor environment is required.
* Understanding of Agile development process, specifically SAFE.
* Ability to think critically, synthesize information from multiple sources into comprehensive plans, identify technical issues, and understand higher level impacts
* Familiarity with MS Excel and other MS Office tools to develop concise and presentable information
* Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills to deliver technical documents and briefings
* Ability to work independently with cross functional teams with minimal oversight
