The Moderation and Relevance Systems (MARS) team is at the heart of ensuring we can run a large scale and growing self service advertising business, while inventing solutions that help advertisers successfully operate within our policies and guidelines for highly effective advertising..

The Advertising MARS team needs innovative program leaders who can help translate the ever growing and changing business and customer needs into solutions that empower advertiser success.

In this role you will work closely with product, policy and tech teams to define and deliver solutions that increase advertising performance and success, while ensuring non-compliant ads never reach our shopper customer..

A day in the life
· Work closely with advertising product teams to understand their launch plans and drive plans to support and enforce policies related to new product and feature launches.
· Advocate for both the end shopper customer, as well as advertisers, in building more guidance, support and education into our self service advertising campaign builders.
· Manage a set of cross-functional and cross-team projects aimed at improving enforcement of policies, reducing defects, and improving customer trust.
· Triage critical issues with your programs and ensure resolution and solution planning..

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Program Manager to join the Advertising Moderation and Relevance Systems team.

We are looking for an individual that can lead technical initiatives, build and maintain strategic relationships with product partners, define and implement solutions that ensure customer trust in Amazon’s dynamic advertising landscape.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and delivering end to end projects.

You will be comfortable working across time zones and through ambiguity.

You thrive in project management and driving teams towards results.

You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

An ability to take medium to large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces to deliver them in a successful and timely manner.

Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role..

Key Responsibilities:
· Develop programs and lead initiatives aimed at improving trust for Amazon Advertising.
· Partner closely with product teams to ensure their product roadmaps are understood, and moderation solutions are identified in time and ready for launch.

– Drive activities including coordination of detailed functional plans, communication with key stakeholders, issue resolution, and reporting metrics / KPIs.
· Create awareness of cross-functional inter-dependencies and establish prioritization for plan execution to minimize disruption on daily operations.
· Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of management, building trust across the organization, and demonstrating discretion with sensitive information.
· Show ownership and leadership skills in coordinating projects across multiple teams, driving them to successful conclusion while building strong, lasting relationships with both internal and external customers..

· Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior management
· Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
· 5+ years experience in program or project management or 3+ years of experience with an MBA
· Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
· 5+ years experience delivering cross functional projects or 3+ years of experience with an MBA
· Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
· Experience defining and executing against program requirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science, business or a related field.
