In this vital role you will be responsible for direct support of the Executive Director of Commercialization Portfolio Management, providing analytical, strategic and operational support including planning, coordinating, and executing the important analytics, decision support, operating model design and communications to optimize our drug development portfolio.

The Commercialization Portfolio Management Office is responsible for optimizing the value of our drug development portfolio end-to-end, from the development phase through the commercial phase, including i) analytics for portfolio decisions, ii) the cross-functional operating model, and iii) ecosystem of tools and data on our programs and portfolio.

Key Responsibilities: The Senior Manager, Business Performance role will play an integral role, including: Supporting Executive Leadership with conducting analysis and developing/presenting business insights that are integral to development of strategic actions to address key issues across R&D, Commercial (GCO) and Operations (Ops), and that support optimizing the value of our product portfolio Support or lead cross-functional initiatives working with CMZ, R&D, GCO and Ops experts, including understanding issues, identifying solutions, building business cases, generating plans and delivering results Support managing the suite of initiatives and activities being lead or supported by the CMZ Portfolio Management Office to ensure they are coordinated and progressing effectively Navigate across the CMZ Portfolio Management Office and the broader organization to identify opportunities, problem-solve solutions and ensure effective implementation / change management.

Support for CMZ Portfolio Management Office leadership through analytical problem solving, organizational management, and presentation development Lead and facilitate key Portfolio Management Office meetings (All Staff, Senior Leadership Teams, team huddles) and facilitate CMZ Portfolio Management Office goal setting and run against progress, in collaboration with CMZ Director SPO.

Partner with CMZ Director SPO to support talent and culture related efforts, staffing/organizational initiatives as deemed vital, and organizational or workforce strategy related efforts Win What we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.

The professional we seek is dynamic, goal oriented and results driven with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 2 years of related experience Or Masters degree and 4 years of related experience Or Bachelors degree and 6 years of related experience Or Associates degree and 10 years of related experience Or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of related experience Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of drug development and commercialization Understanding of basic financial analysis Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking able to synthesize information to identify relevant insights that will inform improvement opportunities Understanding of how to translate insights and opportunities into meaningful change in a complex organization (such as Amgen) Ability to drive/manage projects (ideally with experience in a healthcare-related environment), operationalizing initiatives, including cross-functional planning, development of coordinated plans, monitoring and driving execution.

Emotional intelligence skills including influencing without authority and navigating within a matrix environment, as well as interface effectively with all levels, including senior management Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and experience in facilitating group meetings.

High self-confidence, self-motivation, strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
