What you’ll do

The Sr.

Director of Facilities, reporting to the COO, will provide project management and oversight while engaging in all aspects of facility scope development, leadership buy-in, design, budgeting, plan check, contractor negotiations, maintenance, and operation of multiple Eaze and its affiliates’ buildings, grounds, utility systems and supporting infrastructure nationally.

This individual will have a strong understanding of holistic project management and cost principles to ensure all projects are completed timely and in conjunction with company goals budgets, while maintaining compliance with local and State regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership team to understand, develop and support the organization’s strategic vision by leading the management and construction of infrastructure nationwide
  • Work cross functionally with operations, security, IT, and HR teams to develop processes and procedures to best support facility projects using limited resources
  • Work with relevant stake holders to lead the design and/or improvement of new and existing facilities across a variety of cannabis operations and geographic locations, including but not limited to cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, delivery, and retail
  • Provide project management leadership and oversight for all facilities and business resiliency related projects
  • Manages vendor relationships and serves as the primary liaison on all construction and facility maintenance related matters
  • Manages the acquisition, development, space planning, construction, remodeling and/or relocation of all Eaze and its affiliates’ leased and owned facilities
  • Develop strategies and standards for facility space and ensure those standards are met in all areas.
  • Manage budgets and make certain amounts invested in new facilities are in accordance with developed strategy and manages capital expenditures
  • Maintain and ensure facility compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Set KPIs and expectations for deliverables and hold teams accountable for meeting budgets and timelines managing capital spend as it relates to construction projects; oversees and reviews the development of budget estimates and routinely reviews actual spend to ensure all applicable KPIs are met
  • Directly supervise employees and teams and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

    These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; conducting performance and salary reviews planning for peak times and absences; enforcing department policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or university required with a major or emphasis in Business, Engineering, Architecture, BioTech or related field.

    MBA, strongly preferred.

    PE license and/or PMP Certification are a plus

  • 10+ years of experience within construction development in a high growth, multi-site, and highly regulated industrial setting
  • Minimum 7+ years of supervisory experience relating to facilities management, leasing, building trades and construction, project planning, design, development, maintenance, or repair work required.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a large team
  • Expertise in MEP systems, building and mechanical design
  • Expertise in relevant rules and regulations around facility construction and maintenance
  • Experience managing capital projects in excess of $20M
  • Must be able to read and interpret building construction and architectural plans.

    Familiarity with local and state building codes in CA, NV, TX, IL, PA, NY, FL.

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

    Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding ambitious goals with an ability to wear multiple hats and be flexible and adaptable as business needs grow and/or change
  • This position is mostly office work and may require unusual work hours that may start or end far beyond the normal workday.

    Work may also include travel to job sites and national branch offices with tours which involves exposure to a variety of industrial equipment, personnel, material, and operations.

    Potential exposures to environmental hazards at job sites.

    Requires driving short, intermediate, and long distances using private or Company provided vehicle.

    Work may include climbing, stooping, bending and occasional lifting of equipment to approximately 50 pounds.

    Up to 50% travel may be required.
