If so, this may be the job for you Aon is looking for a Senior Benefits Manager The Senior Benefits Manager role is part of the North America benefits team in the Aon Total Rewards function of the People Organization.T his role is responsible for the administration of the Aon U.S.

health and welfare benefit programs, using third party vendors.This is a hands-on manager position responsible for the execution of the benefits strategy and design of Aon’s health and welfare benefit plans, as well as supporting other programs including wellbeing.

What the day will look like Manage vendors responsible for the administration of Aon’s health and welfare benefit plans.

Responsible for the employee digital experience and access to benefit programs through third party vendor and internal intranet sites.

Ensure accuracy of employee total rewards package as it relates to health and welfare plans.

Create and/or review benefits communications and ensure compliance notices are mailed timely.

Create and/or review requirements and standard operating procedure documents to guarantee adherence with benefit plan documents.

Manage project work such as annual audits, SOX, changes to benefit design, etc.

Collaborate on plan design for new plans or changes to existing plans; proactively identify and recommend process improvements and implement process changes.

Manage annual open enrollment, including leading and testing system changes, conducting employee sessions, developing and carrying out communications, and maintaining compliance with state and government reporting.

Audit regulatory developments as well as marketplace trends and standard methodologies; suggests policy and process changes to better meet the company’s business needs and better meet the needs of colleagues.

Respond to critical issues from vendors, business partners and leaders related to health and welfare benefit plans Prepare and/or participate in government filings, plan audits, and other tax-reporting requirements as necessary.

Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.

Coach and develop other benefits analysts.

Collaborate with internal partners such as HR, payroll, employment and ERISA law teams, consulting, and finance on health and welfare benefit matters in addition to internal benefits team members.

Prepare and present updates to the fiduciary committee, including any plan appeals.

Skills and experience that will lead to success Understands the legal umbrella under which the plans operate, including ERISA, IRC, COBRA, FMLA, and other benefits related federal regulations.

Organizes and presents detailed and complex information clearly, succinctly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

Able to interact and communicate effectively in a clear and concise manner with all levels of employees, managers, vendors, consultants, and legal advisors.

Delivers project results through own and team contributions.

Partner with internal and external resources to ensure timely and cost
– effective delivery of benefit solutions.

Provides strong project management, change management, facilitative, analytical, and advising skills.

Ability to effectively drive completion of initiatives and change.

Understands broad and detailed knowledge of benefit plan design and administration.

Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.

Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as human resources, business administration, and accounting preferred.

A minimum of 8 progressive years of related experience.

Ability to handle highly sensitive confidential employee information with discretion and good judgment.

Experience with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and VEBAS a plus.

Understanding data inputs and outputs as it relates to benefits eligibility or other benefit plans such as retirement savings a plus.

Exposure to Canadian group benefit programs a plus.

Strong MS Office skills including Word and Excel are required.

HRIS experience a plus.

CEBS certification a plus.
