We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Purchasing Manager to facilitate the complete purchasing pipeline for our wholesale and ecommerce business, including raw goods and finished products. This includes things like placing PO’s, maintaining WIP reports, and working with our factories to track delivery timelines. By leveraging your analytical skills, you’ll be able to make quantifiable recommendations backed by data mixed with the right amount of intuition, and your recommendations will prove themselves over time as our sales and inventory levels validate your expertise. Ultimately, strong communication and organization are critical as this position keeps the production train moving.

This is a hybrid position based out of our corporate headquarters in Los Angeles, CA.

What you’ll do

  • Create and analyze reports to make buy recommendations to leadership team for raw goods, pre-booked wholesale orders, and direct-to-consumer ecommerce orders
  • Interact with factories to maintain pricing and delivery schedule, communicating regularly with the in-house team to set solid expectations regarding timelines
  • Act as the primary liaison between supply orders and demand orders, using historical and trending information to maximize pre-book and on-time sales
  • Responsible for the accurate entry, proofing, maintenance and submission of purchase orders based on customer demand, stock replenishment and leadership guidance
  • Coordinate order status details from factories, updating PO’s and WIP as necessary
  • Routine PO review and follow-up, with regular communication with suppliers and in-house team to resolve issues
  • Manage communications related to MOQs and production surcharges that impact assortment strategy

Requirements:

What you bring

We’re looking for the one extraordinary person to bridge the gap between design/production and sales, and that means you probably have the following experience/education:

  • 3-5 years in apparel/outerwear purchasing
  • Experience placing PO’s and working directly with factories to place and track orders
  • Exceptional communication demonstrated by a regular communication rhythm with stakeholders in addition to ad hoc updates as requested
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow your gut if something doesn’t look right
  • Contribute towards the positive team-oriented environment
