Login Now Proposal ManagerCompany:Thermal Engineering Int’l (USA) Location:Cerritos, CA Job Type:Sales and Marketing Position Summary:Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. designs and fabricates high quality Pressure Vessels and Heat Transfer Equipment for the power generation and process industries worldwide. TEi’s product line includes a wide variety of main steam condensers, feedwater heaters, moisture separator reheaters(MSRs) and auxiliary heat exchangers. This individual is responsible for leading proposal efforts to support booking and margin objectives. It requires customer interaction and coordination across a mutli-department team. The range of the Proposal Manager encompasses a full breadth of TEi product lines including Condenser, Feedwater Heaters, Moisture Separator Reheaters, Industrial Coolers, Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers for Power & Process and Specialty Heat Exchangers. The Proposal Manager will be accountable for the development and implementation of proposal strategies to maximize opportunities, close sales and handover projects in a timely and efficient manner maximizing the ability for the execution team to meet the overall project objectives, margins, and deliverables.Essential Responsibilities:* Leads proposal effort in accordance with proposal development process* Reviews customer specifications and identifies pertinent commercial items* Develops and executes proposal strategy* Develops/reviews proposal estimates and schedules* Evaluates and minimizes risk in accordance with company standards* Ensures proposal is compliant with RFP and other source documents* Modifies proposal in response to amendments, changes and management insight* Conforms contracts by negotiating final open items* Develops & maintains successful relationships with customers* Supports proposal process improvementJob Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:* Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited college is preferred* 3-5 years of sales experience* Engineering, Scheduling or Estimating experience* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral* Flexibility in schedule, initiative, assertiveness, good analytical skills, maintain effective and professional interaction with all levels* Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and respond quickly to problems* Must be organized and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to work independently with minimal supervision* PMP Certification is preferred* Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
