Floor Manager

Clifton’s Republic is a legendary eatery and nightlife destination, bringing history to life featuring 6 floors of entertainment and an experiential world of food and beverage options. Originally created by Clifford Clinton in 1931 as a cafeteria and respite for weary travelers and guests, Clifton built this incredible establishment “to create a uniquely immersive environment that inspires guests to explore the world around them and the universe of possibilities.” Clifton’s later became Clifton’s Republic in 2017 and houses a variety of environments designed to allow guests to explore different venues and discover astonishing worlds of history, nature, style, and fantasy.

You will be carrying the will and philosophy of Clifton’s with you and ensuring our guests feel comfortable, happy, and satisfied with the wide array of services we offer.

Essential Functions

  • Managing staff, including: Scheduling, tip sheet, direction during service, issues during service
  • Helping guests with booking reservations, questions during service, issues during service
  • Maintaining, updating, and fixing issues on multiple programs and POS systems (Toast, 7Shifts, Sevenrooms, etc.)
  • Identifying issues with maintenance, work flow, staff, guest experience, and finding proper avenues to solve them
  • Walk throughs for future parties, events, and movie shoots
  • Ensuring compliance with all company and food and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with talent and entertainment to ensure optimal guest experience
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a floor supervisor, manager, or similar role for a high-end, high-volume nightclub or lounge
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, including hiring, training, and managing staff
  • Valid California Food Handler’s License and ServSafe certification
  • Experience with POS Systems (Toast, 7shifts, 7rooms preferred)
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and reporting tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
  • Great problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others
