LAN is looking for a **Project Controls Specialist** to service our valued clients throughout the nation for our Program Management services.

**”We believe ever****ything we do is for the enrichment of the human experience.”** ## Responsibilities Working with the Corporate leadership, and in cooperation with local guidance from the Program Manager and Project Managers, provide the following services to the Owner: * Prepare program-wide budget, based on Program Manager and Project Manager input * Evaluate planned cost Vs.

Committed Cost Vs.

Cost to Date to identify potential cost risk * Enter changes to cost tracking to reflect approved changes from Project Manager * Work with Owner accounting personnel to establish accounting codes, payment procedures, and reconciliation processes, including coding of costs to appropriate funding sources.

* Prepare regular distribution of Master Project Budget status * Monitor Established Baseline Budget and support the control of design and construction changes that impact budget (Budget Control) * Knowledge of Federal Project Cost Reporting and monitoring * Coordinate and review the construction estimates * **Project Schedule Control** * Prepare master project schedule, cost and resource loaded if required by project * Update project schedule completion status based on input from Project Managers as well as contractor and sub-consultant schedule updates as appropriate.

* Recommend solutions or recovery plans to schedule/cost impact or delay * Prepare regular distribution of Master Project Budget status * Prepare Monthly Status Reports (Schedule, Cost etc.) * Review and provide comments on Contractor or sub-consultant schedules and schedule updates.

* Develop recovery plan and recommend solution to Schedule delay and cost impact * **Project Document Control** * Maintain Project Controls Software * File advertisements and solicitations * Record bid tabulations, scoring and other selection activities * Log and organize project transactions such as, addenda, submittals, change proposals, supplemental instructions, etc.

* Control Document revisions, i.e.

drawings, reports, specifications * Prepare Configuration Management Plan, track and manage project changes to include impacts to cost and schedule.

* Assist the Program Manager and Project Managers with the production of and regular distribution of: * Meeting agendas * Action Logs * Close-out document checklist * Weekly status report * **Project Integration Management** * Provide input to areas within span of control within the Project Management Plan, including description of the means for handling all documentation.

Maintain plan.

* Prepare and maintain Project Risk Register * Identify appropriate project management software tools and techniques to enhance the performance of the project * Prepare change control methodology * Participate in review of and updates to best practices to ensure consistency and rigor in standard operating procedures * Other duties as assigned ## Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Must possess a Bachelor degree or higher * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera scheduling programs * Strong knowledge of Program Management software programs (Prolog, ProjectMates, Procore, E-builder) * Strong keyboarding skills * Excellent listening skills, patience, maturity * Expert level understanding of Microsoft Excel * Familiarity with all Microsoft Office applications with excellent understanding of Outlook, Power Point, and Word * Highly organized * Capable of shifting priorities and reacting to changing demands * Building construction project experience Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in the public sector (K-12, City, County, State, Federal) * Knowledge of construction terms, phases and key processes * Desire to learn and grow * Cost estimating credential Other Job Requirements * Reliable personal transportation * Comfortable working in Client offices * Pass background check * May require work outside normal business hours The ideal location for this position will be in our Los Angeles, California office with limited travel to metropolitan areas of Texas.
