Job Summary:
As the Procurement Manager, you will play a vital role on the Procurement team as we stabilize and execute our procurement processes. You are a strategic and analytical thinker who is comfortable in data-heavy environments and maintains a strong focus on the details. You will lead a team of associates, build vendor relationships, review demand plans & POs, and improve procurement processes as the business grows. Your team will enable Ruggable to rapidly scale new business units and manufacturing locations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a team of Procurement talent and review orders to maintain continuity of supply across Ruggable’s network
- Work cross-functionally with the Operations team to expand defect tracking and chargeback processes as new products get introduced
- Maintain and improve dashboards, KPIs, and supplier scorecards
- Work closely with the ERP team on process improvement and maintaining accuracy of our purchasing data
- Create procurement checklists for new product launches
- Problem-solve potential procurement issues and create solutions through root cause analysis
- Lead day-to-day communication with suppliers
- Create and maintain procurement models to forecast buying needs
- Onboard vendors into our supply chain network through documentation, training, SOPs, and clear expectation-setting
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 3-5+ years of professional experience working in global supply chain, procurement, or operations
- Proven track record of people leadership and development
- Experience building trust-based relationships with overseas vendors
- Experience conducting quantitative analysis (modeling) that can drive to data insights and results
- Strong project management and detail orientation
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft / Google Suites
- Experience in or willingness to get familiar with NetSuite
- Comfort working in a fast-paced growth environment with competing priorities
Preferred:
- Experience working for a fast-growing start-up
- APICS certification
