Job Description:

The function of the Director of E-Commerce is to further develop and scale, in close collaboration with Albas EVP of Growth & Strategy and other senior leadership, Albas E-Commerce and Section 321 service through supply chain improvement, vendor partnerships, and internal and external education about the duty-free service.

The Director will oversee the delivery of Sec 321 E-Commerce, and direct-to-consumer services that offer tariff mitigation strategies through Sec 321 manifest cargo release in various modes of operation including air, ocean, and truck modes.

The Director will provide support to leadership and sales on continuing to cross-sell, develop and grow the current E-Commerce Section 321 business.

It is expected that the Director will work with the EVP of Growth & Strategy and the senior leadership team on strategies, partnerships, emerging technologies and emerging market conditions to incorporate the strategic goals of the E-Commerce 321 services into working operational processes that result in an established, pertinent profit-generating division within the Alba ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with the EVP of Growth & Strategy to integrate Albas E-Commerce revenue growth strategy with an operational focus to support the services.
* To provide support for E-Commerce clients to ensure customer service level objectives are met, especially in test periods, and new customer experiences are appropriately achieved with the E-Commerce services.

* Work across disciplines and departments in Alba to achieve the specific goal of growing the E-Commerce Section 321 services into a profitable and scalable service offering aligned with the goals set by EVP of Growth & Strategy and senior leadership.
* Develop an agile approach to challenges and opportunities, as opportunities and challenge are emerging in the market in E-Commerce and Section 321 services; proactively understanding market fluidity and consider strategic alternatives.
* Leverage preexisting Alba relationships in the e-commerce space, working closely externally with the EVP of Growth & Strategy in strategic partnership and relationship building with essential partnerships to develop a solid business partnering relationship with the client and vendors that are part of the program; also continue to expand new partnerships to enable Alba to execute international and domestic services tailored to clients needs.
* Access quality and productivity performance and provide appropriate guidance to ensure continuous focus and improvement in process and service quality.
* Assist in strategic decision making leveraging in-house reports, account profiles and other reports.

* KPI: develop and review action plan and reporting client performance and progress on a regular basis to clients and senior management.
* Work closely with other leadership to identify business opportunities to upsell clients in their respective region on additional products and services, E-Commerce as lead service.
* Ensure for a process responsible for the training and support of the client.
* Service launch project management review: provide updates on project success 30-60-90 tactically.
* Adopt a collaborative approach between business groups, divisions and departments within Alba associated with the services to achieve cohesive approach.
* Ensure all customer procedures are maintained and distributed accordingly.
* Responsible for expanding the e-commerce operating and sales team alongside the EVP of Growth & Strategy while developing, mentoring and managing the team.
* Perform regular site meetings with 3rd party fulfillment providers.

Requirements

* Has tested experience in the e-commerce, Sec 321 space, fulfillment and or experience in customer distribution channels connected direct-to-consumer supply channel.
* Previous experience working with carriers and steamship lines
* Previous experience scaling and growing an organization
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage employee, vendor and customer relationships
* Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Team-oriented and inspirational leader; takes initiative and leads by example
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience working with Cargowise is a plus
