Boeing Defense, Space & Security Experimental Systems Group (ESG), a unit of Boeing Space and Launch Systems is a flexible unit of The Boeing Company and headquartered in St.

Louis.

The candidate will support the creation and documentation of infrastructure designs.

Researches, develops, documents and deploys emerging technologies and techniques.

Assists with preparing and coordinating installation of complex implementation packages.

Supports the maintenance of network and computing systems.

Supports and coordinates high level implementation planning for strategic multi-technology insertion projects.

Periodic Frequent Travel is expected, (up to 25%) for short periods of time, based on program needs.

This is a 1st shift position.

Primary Responsibilities:Ensure performance of existing infrastructure, maintain configuration of infrastructure devices and trouble shoot infrastructure as necessary to resolve issues.Ensure performance of existing terrestrial communications devices and trouble shoot as necessary to resolve issues.Maintain infrastructure documentation.Provide support for the design, validation and configuration management of network and computing systemshardware and cabling as required.Analyzes and troubleshoots system incidents to determine the root cause and corrective actionPerforms system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.Comply with cybersecurity requirements (RMF) by performing hardening and patching on network devices and PCs, installing & maintaining required monitoring software and providing CONOPS as required.Regular on-console work as responsible engineer for facility network and terrestrial communications devices.Work with multi-skill team to accomplish team objectives.Support end of service life status on all network and PC hardware and software and developing mitigation plans as needed.

This position requires an active Top Secret U.S.

Security Clearance.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):An active U.S.

Top Secret U.S.

Security Clearance with Special Program Access is required pre-start.Two or more years of related experience or a combination of technical education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Technical bachelor’s degree or higher (any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study) is preferred.Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree is preferredExperience with Windows and Linux systems administration, Windows 10, RHEL, Solaris 11, Active Directory, NetApp, VM WareNetwork & related skills: Cisco configuration, WiresharkCISSP, Security+, CEH, CISA or other DOD 8570.01 IAT certificationFamiliarity with cybersecurity monitoring software (Splunk, McAfee, etc.)Translate security policies and procedures into technical architecturesAt least 2 years of experience installing, monitoring, and maintaining infrastructure solutionsExperience with Agile/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) The following are highly desired:CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco certificationMCSA, MCSE or other Microsoft certificationRHCE, RHSA or other RedHat CertificationVCP, VCAP or other VMWare certificationNCDA, NCSA or other NetApp certificationExperience with Agile or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
