You build trust, by clear communication with no prestige.If the above sounds like you, this position might be just what you’re looking forMain purpose of the job / Mission:A Mission of a Team Manager is to spend 50% of the time in work environment (Gemba)Drive the team to meet the committed operational targets and to continuously improve the process, while exceeding our customers’ expectations.Support the team when hand overs are necessary to other teams within the organization and limit the conflicts between departments (global and local)Secure the team’s competence and performance development through training and coaching, both to exceed business goals and on a personal level at the same time developing adequate succession plan for key positions within the team.Key tasks:Standard Work:Participate / run SB performance and improvement meetingsFollow up on plan vs actual, at least three times a day to ensure daily successApprove, train and audit for SOP 1’s and 2’s, then initiate and follow up on corrective actionsSecure resources according to the planManage staff meetings with direct reports, to communicate, and inform changes, while provide/receipt of feedbackAttend Claims board meetings if applicable, responsible for office department claims, their investigation and corrective actionFollow up KPI’sAlign, develop, and coach direct reportsDrive continuous improvement in the team, through ALPS and LSS toolsPersonnel time management and expense reports review and approvalFirst point of contact for escalations from Sales CompaniesCompetencies, experience and attitudes to do the job:Qualification: Relevant education, either BS degree (preferably in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain degree) in a relevant field of study or 5 years of relevant experienceFurther requirements: ALPS Basic training, Green Belt training, SOP audit training, Train the Trainer, Leadership for new managers (provided by Alfa Laval)Skills: Preferred ERP experience with data analytical skills.

Experience with supplier development, supply chain management, contracts, negotiations and buying required.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Leadership skills.

Preferred lean background.

Strong logistics and transportation experience, both domestic and international including INCOterms, IOTA, CFR49, transport documents, etc.Attitude: Team player and Structured.

Sense of urgency with a customer focus.

Willingness to learn.

Must be able to challenge, develop and motivate teams, with a proven past track record in people management.

Being able and willing to resolve conflicts.

Lead by example (shadow of the leader)Motivation: Drive the team to exceed customer and management expectations at the same time developing and engaging individuals.Presentation: Ability to present and lead discussions with our internal customers in the US, Canada and South America, in written and verbal professional communication as well in face to face presentations.Travel requirements: up to 3-4 weeks within a yearKey relationships:Sales CompaniesSuppliers
