Let’s get to work.Asst Manager, DistributionFB604 DC InlandJob Details:Assistant Manager, Distribution Center.BENEFITS SUMMARYDAY 1 BENEFITS such as medical, dental, and vision insurance and company-paid life insurance.401(k) with annual company match starts on your 90th day.Paid holidays, vacation and sick time, educational assistance program, and more.ABOUT THE JOBThe Assistant Manager supports the planning, controlling, and directing of all activities necessary for the efficient operation of all order selecting, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse activities.Oversee training and scheduling for certain warehouse shifts; train and develop selected warehouse personnel.Minimize mistakes and waste in the warehouse operation via continual coordination and supervision.Verify manpower needs for certain warehouse shifts are met and safeguards against negligent retention of substandard workers.Assist with the creation and implementation of procedures to receive/send, unload/load, sort, and store all incoming and outgoing freight accurately and efficiently.Review warehouse layout and product slotting to maximize order-pulling efforts and minimize errors.Additional duties and/or special projects may be assigned at the supervisor’s discretion.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSA bachelor’s degree in a complementary field is helpful.Experience in principal food distribution disciplines such as supply chain, customer service, data processing, transportation, and warehousing is preferred.Have at least 3 years of management experience in a high-volume warehousing and/or distribution operation, preferably in the foodservice industry.Be proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.AS/400 experience is a plus.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSBe at least 18 years of age.Candidates must pass a background check, drug screen and other job requirements.McLane is an EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability.
