The Manager, Internal Audit will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and be responsible for developing and maintaining internal audit activities and oversight of controls for the entire organization.

This includes developing and executing audit plans, procedures, building internal relationships, providing guidance to all functional areas, identifying risk and evaluating and monitoring controls.

An essential emphasis is on the safeguarding of cash and coin and loss prevention at over 75,000 client locations in North America.
Responsibilities:
As an integral member of the Finance team, the Manager, Internal Audit will lead a professional internal auditing organization that is a key component of the Company’s governance structure, internal control over financial reporting, operational controls and safeguarding of corporate assets.

Determine, direct, plan and lead a comprehensive risk assessment and audit plan including managing and conducting complex performance, operational, financial, compliance, and information system audit activities.

Lead staff or independent contractors in the performance of complex independent analyses to determine the reliability and integrity of information; compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations, the safeguarding of assets; and process efficiency.

Provide guidance, enhance governance, and foster controls with an emphasis on process improvement.

Oversee the planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring of Internal Audit and Controls activities, including; hiring, training, evaluating staff performance, and career development.

Define and oversee the implementation of department policies and procedures, organizational structure required, staffing levels, and performance standards.

Provide ongoing training, coaching, and supervision to Internal Audit and Loss Prevention staff.

Manage and create systems and programs to reduce loss, maintain inventory control, and increase safety.

Identify potential for loss and develop strategies to eliminate it.

Direct investigations in response to coin and inventory “shrink” results outside of acceptable ranges.

Oversee training of loss prevention staff on loss control and prevention measures.

Supervise compliance to operational, safety, or inventory control procedures, including physical security standards.

Operate independently with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment within an organization with decentralized operations in all regions in North America.

Maintain relationships with external auditors and other vendors.

Special high-level projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree is required Certified Public Accountant required BIG4 Public Accounting and Corporate Internal Audit experience is required 5+ years of relevant audit and controls leadership required (total relevant experience 8-10 years) SOX 404 compliance is preferred Experience with companies with over $500 million in annual revenue is preferred Experience with bank or other organization with a high level of physical coin and currency is preferred Experience with lean techniques and processes improvement methods a plus
