Outside Sales. estimator, Project manager
Very busy established residential contractor in Greater Los Angeles area is seeking a self-motivated and hard-working individual to add to our team. We specialize in residential foundation repairs/upgrades, slope repairs and site drainage. You must be able to work to deadlines and interface with clients, realtors and engineers during site inspections. Overseeing Project management of jobs booked from your estimates will be necessary. Residential construction experience preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct a thorough site inspection of the property including entering the crawlspace to inspect for any necessary foundation upgrades and/or repairs. Prepare the sales estimate for the clients in a timely manner. Most of our estimate requests are made during escrow and are extremely deadline driven and time sensitive.
Principle Accountabilities
Sales/Marketing:
Customer base includes established relationships with real estate agents, property managers, and business managers in the Greater Los Angeles area. Appointments are set by the office for you.
Follow up on sales/quotes on a timely basis
Strive to provide exceptional customer service to all potential and current clients
Estimating
Derive pricing and prepare written estimates for all bid documents, and quotes.
Making sure to use any soils, structural reports, home inspector reports for a complete narrative of necessary upgrades and repairs to property.
Administrative
Prepare all required paperwork, estimates and technical reports. Report writing skills/experience are essential.
Follow up on current jobs booked and help with any change orders
Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft WORD and Excel for MAC.
Math competency is required.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as soils reports, home inspection reports, Los Angeles building codes. Ability to write written estimates and speak effectively to clients. Spanish language helpful but not required for the right candidate.
Work Environment
Outside sales. Must have own transportation. Prepare bids from laptop. Sales calls are throughout the Greater Los Angeles area, but concentrated on the Westside, Santa Monica mountains, and the Valley.
Team works remotely, but closely through group messaging, emails, and regular staff meetings.
