in Huntington Beach, CA .This position will lead a growing team of managers, engineers and staff within the Payload Products & Technologies (PP&T) organization under Boeing Research & Technology’s (BR&T) Mission Systems & Autonomy (MS&A) organization.This position will expand the leadership team of a dynamic organization with multiple high-performing teams.

Boeing Research & Technology is Boeing’s advanced, centralized Research & Development organization.

The Mission Systems & Autonomy team drives integrated technology development and rapidly transitions capabilities in areas such as artificial intelligence, autonomy, cyber security, advanced electronics, communications, networking, platform subsystems and digital aviation.If you have a passion to work with and shape teams that are developing the next generation of technology and innovation, this may be the role for you! Position Responsibilities:

  • Strategy
    – Supports the PP&T Director in the development of competitive strategy, competitive analysis through technology development and product design aligned with contemporary and future market demands.

    Includes government, civil and commercial customer segments with aggressive performance requirements.Builds business plans and proposals for capture of tech/product development investment capture.Drafts marketing and communication content for customers and internal stakeholders.Construct customer map for focused and effective communication and engagement.

  • Product development
    – Collaborate with business leaders, chief engineer/architect and engineering teams to define and describe the technology and product portfolio development objectives and plan.

    Leverage existing IP and product evolution to expand Boeing’s EO/IR product portfolio extending into the space, air and sea domains.

    Will embrace/exercise disciplined development methods that drive innovation results in rapid development

  • Business Capture
    – Shape strategy and new business campaigns into captures.

    Integrating competitive, technology and product strategies with customer needs into system solutions.

    Employ entrepreneurial approach to crafting winning proposals.

    Demonstrate agility and impact in employing government and commercial practices for preparing and submitting competitive proposals.

    Manage B&P budgets aligned with business goals and priorities.

  • MBE/M&S-Digital Twin
    – Leverage an advanced simulation framework with custom modules for simulating and presenting performance models and simulations.

    Engages with customer community on extending current capabilities and integrates BR&T content with customer force design and reference architectures.

    Enables the continuing development of MBE and digital twin for system design through production and test.

  • Talent
    Attract, develop and retain exceptional talent.

    Lead and grow high-performing teams in technology innovation, product evolution and program execution.

    Demonstrates exceptional leadership traits, active listening, inspires and motivates.

  • Programs execution
    – Adapt current program execution efforts to streamline and increase the effectiveness of the organization’s delivery performance.

    With emphasis on digital engineering/digital twin, the PP&T SE/M&S manager will create and codify the operating model shaped to ensure alignment with organization delivery, development and growth objectives.

    Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders and suppliers.

    Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

    Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Security Clearance for which the U.S.

Government requires U.S.

Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S.

Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
  • 10+ years of experience as a Chief Engineer or Lead Engineer responsible for ensuring system and product integration across multiple disciplines
  • 10+ years of engineering experience with aircraft, missile, spacecraft, autonomous platform or similar vehicles

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in product development and/or product design
  • 5+ years of experience writing proposals, Request For Information (RFIs) and/or Request For Proposal (RFPs)
  • 5+ years of experience structuring strategy projects and leading teams in strategy projects
  • Active SSBI clearance
