The position of Field Sales Consultant is responsible for business development & generating sales in their territories.
We prefer candidates with a background in DMS or CRM sales with a deep understanding of dealership operations.
Experience with large dealer groups is a must.
Job Description and Experience The Field Sales Consultant will explore new business opportunities for our analytics platform within automotive dealerships, dealer groups and OEMs.
This position requires broad knowledge of the automotive industry and the candidate must have good relationships with Dealer Principals and Management teams of mid-sized to large dealer groups.
The main job responsibilities are: Drive the business development process from initial inquiry to close of sale Identify key contacts within prospective clients and create and maintain relationships with them Understand client requirements and work with the technical team to create a custom proposal and present the solution to the client Provide business consulting to dealer principals, general managers and finance controllers in dealerships Identify and implement analytics driven processes that increase productivity and enhance performance for our dealer customers Create, lead, and manage client presentations Build and maintain business pipeline Create annual and quarterly sales forecast and submit management reports as required Qualifications, Experience & Skills Youmust possess a BS degree and any additional degree will be a plus.
You must have at least 5 10 years experience in: Sales & Business Development inautomotive retails, specifically to automotive dealerships In-depth knowledge about CRM & DMS systems specifically experience in using Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack and CDK DMS systems is preferred Experience in selling business solutions preferably Web, CRM & DMS systems RFP/ Proposal Process with ability to understand contracts You must have the following skills: Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to write compelling services proposals with a technical solution and a financial plan with ROI In-depth understanding of DMS & CRM systems, Business Analytics Experience in working with Dealer DMS systems, sales & finance reporting and knowledge of dealer business operations Superior communication and presentation skills Ability to Cold Call and create sales opportunities within prospect base Must be a quick thinker with a problem solving approach Well organized with strong reporting skills.
