Immaculate Heart Community: Interim Director Of Donor Relations

PRIMARY FUNCTION:Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the will be responsible for working with volunteers and leadership to achieve the annual Advancement goals for the IHC ministries by maintaining and expanding relationships with individuals.Key roles include: working with the ED, IHC ministries, and the Board to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, secure and steward individual donors; assist in the development of a comprehensive individual Advancement plan; and support volunteers in their Advancement endeavors.KEY ROLES:Advancement – Works with Senior Leadership and volunteers to:* Design, implement, and manage Advancement activities in support of annual and planned gifts* Create new potential donors with presentations and follow-up invitations to engage them and connect with IHC ministries’ activities and events.* Work closely with and coordinate stewardship activities with Advancement and IHC ministries for event donors.* Actively cultivates and stewards all current and potential donors, emphasizing growing an individual donor base.* Participate in the development and execution of small gatherings, relationship-building events, and ” Friend-raisers.”* Develops a comprehensive planned giving and endowment program.* Works with IHC ministries staff to implement a stewardship plan and provides input and reviews development-related communications.* Works closely with ED and Supporter Donor Staff and contributes as needed to* Conduct database maintenance and reporting* Prospect research* Analysis of contributors to develop giving strategiesDevelopment Office Infrastructure* Supports all development projects and operations.* Ensures an accurate accounting of all unrestricted and restricted income and their sources.* Interfaces with the finance team to fulfill information requests and maintain reporting accuracy.* Maintains excellent contributor files in compliance with requirements of the year-end audit.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Manage annual fund solicitations from donors and prospects across all ministries* Manage donor and prospect activity* Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle* Initiate contacts with potential leadership and major gift donors* Develop appropriate cultivation strategies, including working with volunteers* Move potential donors in a proper and timely fashion toward solicitation and closure* Make solicitations when appropriate* Maintain stewardship contacts with donors; adhere to the highest ethical standards; demonstrate empathetic disposition and perseverance; reflect the optimistic and positive attitude, and convey sensitivity to the needs of the donors* Guide prospect strategy with IHC ministries leadership staff and volunteers.* Serve as a resource for development staff* Assist in identifying potential volunteers leadership* Focus on securing support for a capital campaign while ensuring annual individual giving revenue grows.

(Optional)SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience.

CFRE preferred* A minimum of 5 years experience as a professional fundraiser, preferably with individuals.* Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.* Strong organization and customer relations skills.* Strong knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, Publisher, and experience creating PowerPoint presentations is required.* Strong database experience.* Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, multi-task workplace.* Must be self-motivated, creative, and attentive to details.* Able to maintain strict confidentiality.* Knowledge of accounting principles as they relate to Advancement issues.* Understanding WordPress, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other social media tools is a plus.PI138504289
