Description Summary: The Human Resources Manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in supported business units.
The position builds partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services and maintains an effective level of business literacy about the supported business units.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Reviews and develops policies and procedures as required.
Works with management on promotions and transfers.
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Administer salary administration program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
Champions projects and implementation of new programs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; reviewing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws, including Affirmative Action.
