HR Consultant

Human Resources Consultant Summary/Objective The human resource consultant is responsible for providing contracted HR services to businesses that meet their specific goals, therefore the duties will vary from client to client.

Assists clients in integrating effective HR processes, programs, and practices into their daily operations.

Performs internal reviews and audits of current systems and policies.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations for the contracted services.

Provides recommendations for the resolution of daily HR issues.

Provides consultation and guidance to client’s management and organizational partners in the interpretation of human resource management policies, procedures, programs, and application of related government laws and regulations.

Assist with HR related projects to include, but not limited to, job descriptions, handbooks, policy development Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.

This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position.

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 5 p.m.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel 10-15% travel is expected for this position.
