Job Description
A private individual seeks an experienced, detail-oriented House Manager / Personal Assistant to assist a very busy family.
The right candidate will be outgoing, energetic, flexible, resourceful, and adaptable while managing multiple tasks and projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Complete oversight of residence staff; ensuring consistency of standards, procedures and services Maintaining household calendar; scheduling household services and providing prior notification to principals Coordinating with the domestic staff on planning and executing special dinners and events; experience with formal table service and high-end event planning a plus Communicating with the vendors and contractors for any ongoing and future projects within the property Overseeing, training and supervision of residence staff Approving invoices, household spending, timecards and PTO request for residence staff Serving as backup for residence staff
– must be “hands-on” ready Assisting with any additional requests from the principals Handling special requests, errands and related duties as needed Providing excellent service to principals and guests
Schedule: This is a full-time position with a 5-day workweek.
The typical schedule is Monday-Friday 9 AM
– 6 PM with the flexibility to work weekends as needed.
Compensation: Salary is generous but DOE benefits package included.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 8-10 years related experience supporting prominent individuals; both in personal and business capacities Minimum 4-year degree from accredited College or University Excellent references from both current and previous employers Prioritize executive tasks and multi-task effectively Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office and Mac OSX; must be very tech-savvy Experience planning, managing and execution of events and gatherings Professional mindset and the utmost discretion Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills Flexibility with hours and schedule; available to work overtime as needed Must have valid passport and availability to travel to international and domestic locations Valid US work authorization
