Hospital Compliance Manager

A large Academic Medical Center in Southern California is actively seeking an Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance Manager. The Manager Accreditation and Compliance will report to the Director of Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance as well as the VP Patient Safety and Quality.

The Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation Manager will oversee two adjoining hospital campuses. The acute care adult hospital has approximately 500 patient beds and the women’s and children’s medical center has 300+ beds. This well-respected non-profit hospital has been Magnet Designated for many years and is part of a regional healthcare system with multiple locations throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

As the Compliance and Accreditation Manager you will be responsible for being the contact liaison on all activities related to CDHCS, CDPH, CCS and other regulatory agencies for both campuses as well as coordinate organization wide certification and licenses for hospital, pharmacy, lab, radiology and other departments. The Compliance and Accreditation Manager will also collaborate with facilities leadership on any new construction projects requiring approvals by licensing and certification agencies as well as ensure that all regulatory reports, licenses, amendments and required notifications are on tracking schedules for timely renewal and notify appropriate leaders. The Compliance and Regulatory Compliance Manager will research and prepare recommendations on new state and federal requirements, providing summary reports to leadership for decision making. As the Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation Manger you will also collaborate with and maintain rapport and relationships with personnel of licensing and regulatory entities to further organization strategic goals and objectives and protect the reputation of the hospitals. The Manager Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation will be an organization wide consultant for Regulatory Standards interpretation including but not limited to CDPH Licensing and Certification, Title 22, Joint Commission, CMS, and California Children’s Services and participate in survey readiness activities for Joint Commission, CMS, GACHRLS and CCS.
