Executive Director, Cardiovascular Services

White Oak Medical Center is recruiting for an experienced Executive Director of Cardiovascular Services who will effectively lead the Cardiac Services at White Oak Medical Center while embracing the mission, vision and values of the organization.

This position leads the operations of the Cardiovascular service line at Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center, a tertiary cardiac program with excellent outcomes that is the flagship cardiac hospital within the Adventist HealthCare system of three acute care hospitals and other health care services in the Maryland suburbs.

The position also provides input and guidance on strategic initiatives around growth and program development for the service.

This position has oversight responsibility for the key areas of the cardiac service line, including the Cath lab, EP lab, medical cardiology, research, nurse practitioner program, and interventional radiology nurses.

The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for White Oak Medical Center.

As the Executive Director of Cardiovascular Services, you will:
•Provide day-to-day oversight of the service line, collaborating closely with the nurse and tech leaders, physicians and others in each of the cardiology areas.

•Participate in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and business development.

Administer approved budgets, and effectively manage FTE positions, to meet or exceed financial performance targets.

•Lead the area in Performance Improvement initiatives to deliver superior outcomes.

•Engineer a work environment that encourages customer service excellence and the optimum performance of each individual.

•Create a collaborative environment with key stakeholders including physicians, employees and others in pursuit of patient safety and excellent clinical outcomes.

Qualifications include:
•College degree, preferably a BSN.

•Graduate degree, preferably an MSN or MBA.

•Prior experience leading cardiovascular services at a tertiary hospital and key nursing units in the cardiac realm.

•Must be creative, positive, enthusiastic, problem solver and a strategic leader.
