Director, Pricing Strategy and Competitive Intelligence – Remote

This is a Remote position (US)

Looking for a Director of Competitive Intelligence and Pricing.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of competitive strategy, pricing, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

The role reports up in Product Marketing and works closely with the Product, Sales, IT, Billing, and other teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and seize market opportunities, analyze competitors and competitive offerings, and develop pricing strategies
  • Lead price definition for all products working with product and sales teams.

    Help define requirements for SKU creation per requirements by billing and quote to cash teams.

  • Be the expert on competition and the broader market.

    Build battle cards and support win/loss analysis.

  • Create content and deliver enablement sessions for Sales on Pricing and Competitive topics.
  • Leverage existing and customize specific strategy, pricing, and product marketing frameworks that help understand competitors, position 8×8 products, and develop pricing models
  • Participate in forums, with representation from Product, Sales, and Marketing, to coordinate and collaborate on go-to-market activities as a product goes from inception to launch
  • Conduct market research to uncover key insights about competitors that drive competitive positioning and pricing
  • Drive business case development – bring together customer insights, research, financial data, and analytics to develop a perspective on revenue and profitability potential for new to market initiatives
  • Lead and nurture cross-functional groups on Pricing Council and Competitor Insights.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in SAAS, Pricing, Competitive Intelligence, and Marketing with BA/BS degree or higher
  • Strong competitive intelligence marketing experience
  • Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to work cross-functionally across Sales and Product and Marketing 
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently, while also able to build strong internal relationships and build consensus on critical initiatives
  • Experience in Unified Communications, Contact Center, Video Collaboration, and Team Collaboration required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable leveraging large amounts of data to drive decisions and a passion for continuous testing and optimization
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing time and resources based on business impact
