An established, high-end residential general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for projects in the greater Los Angeles area.The ideal candidate will take ownership of and pride in the project and be able to multitask in a dynamic, complex environment with many stakeholders.
The selected candidate will demonstrate a high level of competency in communication skills, leadership, attention to detail, and problem solving, while establishing a positive working environment for all members of the team.Our firm specializes in high-end residential projects for high profile clients and designers.
The Senior Project Manager will be able to interact directly with the client and the design and consultant team and must be able to do so with a high degree of professionalism and effectiveness, while always being respectful of our client’s privacy and representing our company in a positive manner.Applicants without high-end residential construction experience will not be considered.Responsibilities and DutiesManage the construction of the project – all phases.Oversee project administration (change orders, RFIs, submittals, construction documents, permits and inspections).Personnel management, including supervising staff to ensure the highest quality work product, that deadlines are being met, and high levels of staff morale.Manage the estimating process and oversee budgeting.Conduct site meetings.Create and manage project schedules – this includes managing subcontractors and vendors to ensure they maintain the project schedule.Quality control.Oversee and ensure a clean and organized building site, site office, and good document management.Monitor the work of others for compliance with applicable legal and regulatory codes, and a high standard of care for building practices and company standards.Ensure compliance with all workplace safety protocols.Lead by example, coach and motivate team members, and encourage and foster teamwork and collaboration.Education & Experience RequirementsHigh-end residential construction management experience mandatory – 5 years’ experience minimum.4-year bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business or Construction Management preferred and/or equivalent combination of experience and/or training within a technical field.SkillsMicrosoft Office – RequiredMicrosoft Excel – RequiredMicrosoft Projects – RequiredConstruction Software Knowledge – RequiredStrong verbal and written communication, computer and decision-making skills – Required.Compensation & Benefits401(k)PTOPay: DOETo apply and be considered, please submit: ResumeCompleted Project ListProfessional ReferencesCover Letter (Optional)Applicants without high-end residential construction experience will not be considered.Applicants may need to travel to multiple job sites.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $130,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Paid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Hand wash stations are set up at all job sites and employees must wear masks.
