Compliance Manager

THE ROLE The Compliance Manager is a valued business partner who will support the planning, execution and reporting of financial, operational, and compliance internal audits.

This role is New York City based and will report to the Global Director of Compliance.

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to: Developing and maintain an ongoing comprehensive risk-based methodology to support Internal Audit’s dynamic risk assessment process to identify audits in support of governance and compliance in North America Obtaining, analyzing and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts etc.

Preparing and presenting reports that reflect audit’s results and document process Acting as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement Deploying an accounting system based on IFRS/IAS accounting principles Working in partnership with IA Director and accounting leaders to strengthen governance, and internal control environments by anticipating issues, providing advice, and sharing Internal Audit knowledge and best practices Identifying areas in which the company has opportunities to improve, providing timely follow up on aligned action plans to ensure implementation Maintaining good communication with other areas of the company to enhance attention to detail Championing internal control and corporate governance concepts throughout the business SKILLS Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a concentration in accounting or finance, and preferably a CPA and/or CIA Proven working experience as Internal Auditor or Senior Auditor preferably with Big Four on Publicly traded companies on NYSE Robust knowledge of internal auditing, risk assessment, control design and testing Working knowledge of main governance standards and frameworks including IFRS/IAS accounting principles and compliance with internal controls and SOX Strong ethical standards, high levels of integrity, and attention to detail Supreme analytical skills and an ability to assess risk, analyze the business/operating impact, and identify the weaknesses underlying issues Possesses a willingness and desire to be a true business partner, add value and drive impact WHAT WE OFFER YOU Highly competitive pay Comprehensive benefits package 401(k) match Thom Browne uniform employee discount Flexible working schedules Diverse, inclusive and creative working environment
