The Audit Quality Director is responsible for understanding and communicating audit methodology, professional standards and firm policies, as well as communicating these policies to the firm through Assurance comments, trainings, technical guides and Flash reports to ensure proper compliance.
Qualifications
Education:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required
– Master of Business Administration or Masters in Accounting degree, preferred
Experience:
– Ten (10) years or more of accounting experience, required
– Prior supervisory experience, required
License/Certifications:
– CPA certification, required
Software:
– Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, required
– Experience with assurance research databases, such as APT, preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
– Advanced knowledge of technical aspects of auditing, as well as GAAP, GAAS, SEC, GAGAS, Single Audit and PCAOB rules and regulations, as applicable
– Recognized by RMP and RTP as having the requisite technical and other skills.
– Superior knowledge of public audit processes, policies and procedures
– Outstanding communication skills
– Strong presence in dealing with clients –both internally and externally
– Strong ability to resolve complex auditing problems
– Strong risk management skills
– Good business knowledge
– Strong presentation and teaching skills
– Has the respect of the OMPs and partners in the region
– Ability to make decisions and deal with the pressures of the clients and the practice
