H&M: West Coast Sales Hr Manager

Job DescriptionOverall Job Summary: As a Sales HR Manager, you are a strategic partner to the business, and you bring strong knowledge of HR programs, processes and tools.

You operate as an HR subject matter expert and offer credible and compelling advice to business leaders on people development.

You are dedicated to collaboration with your Sales team, other Sales HR Managers, Area HR Managers, and HR Specialists on the central team.Together with the Sales Manager, you execute a people strategy to support the sales organization, the implementation of key company initiatives, and ensure a positive colleague and customer experience.

Through execution of HR strategy and guidance on all people matters, you will also support your Sales Area teams in increasing sales and profit and improving customer service.You are an influential partner in helping Area Managers drive talent management, leadership development, succession planning, HR operational excellence and colleague engagement.

You also support the talent acquisition process for leadership roles throughout your Sales Area teams.

You will work actively with structured performance management, based on results, values, and global leadership expectations, to increase productivity and retention, and serve as an I& D champion to build diverse teams and foster an inclusive, collaborative culture.This role will ensure H& M offers all colleagues fair and attractive working conditions and that all employee relation matters, legal requirements and H& M policies are fulfilledto meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.This position is based in Los Angeles, CA within our Sales Function and reports to our West Coast Sales Manager, with a dotted line to the Regional Head of HR, Americas.Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:Champion our unique values-driven culture to provide the best colleague and customer experience; recognize strong leadership behaviors and drive performance to ensure business successLead change management efforts to help Area teams understand and adapt to new strategic initiatives and evolving business needs to drive resultsForecast Sales Market future needs, including staff rotation and expansion for all Area and store positions and build action plan accordinglySupport with the delivery of talent management initiatives such as succession planning, performance reviews, and individual, clear development plans throughout Area teamsAnalyze talent pipeline to ensure there is a constant flow of talent (both internal and external) for all Area and high impact, leadership positionsTogether with Sales Market and Area Teams, create inclusive work environments through education and training with focus on increasing the diversity of teams to ensure different perspectives are valued and respectedActively participate in the interview process for Area leadership positionsWork closely with Area Management and internal colleagues to improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retentionCoach and aid Area Management teams to enhance leadership effectiveness, increase engagement of teams, and strengthen company culture throughout feedback and valuesDevelop a sustainable talent acquisition and hiring strategy for Areas, while building and overseeing the internal talent pipeline with follow up on talent developmentTogether with the Sales Team, plan and organize introduction trainings for Area teams as well as for existing and new storesTrack and achieve HR KPI’s and initiate follow up actions accordinglyTogether with the Sales Team, ensure Area Sales Managers identify, develop, and engage future talent with clear development plans and two-way dialogueEvaluate Sales Market training needs, make recommendations for ongoing training needs, and support in facilitating training initiatives with Regional HRAct as a neutral escalation point for colleague concerns and coach Store Management Teams and Area Team on conflict-resolution and prevention of employee related issuesTogether with Employee Relations, manage and resolve escalated employee relations issues.

Conducts effective, thorough and objective follow up as neededMaintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of colleagues, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance and fair working environmentAdditional Accountabilities:Responsible for the creation and adherence to the Sales Market recruitment and training budgetsQualificationsWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience preferredPreferably 3-5 years of HR, retail leadership or people management, including H& M Area Management, experienceStrong understanding of retail operations and HR best practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service orientationStrong professional maturity and ability to deal with sensitive, confidential informationExcellent relationship building and influencing skillsAbility to collaborate with cross-functional partners and teamsSolution-oriented team player and problem solverSkilled at time management, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficient at Microsoft OfficeRequired domestic travel at least 50% of the timeJob Status: Salary, ExemptEEOC Code: PROAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
