Area Director, MCO & ACO Sales Development – Miami and Broward, FL

Responsibilities: 1.

Develop strategic relationships with managed care, accountable care, population health and other regional strategic healthcare partnership accounts2.

Understand strategic partners’ needs and effectively communicate how the organization’s hospice will meet their needs3.

Identify, nurture and close opportunities with strategic MCO, ACO, PHO and other strategic regional accounts4.

Actively manage relationships and expectations of strategic partners5.

Identify C-Suite opportunities within MCO, ACO and regional healthcare organizations and facilitate communication with program management6.

Assist Executive Director (ED) / Director-Business Development (DBD) in development of programs’ MCO, ACO, PHO strategies7.

Support and mentor Hospice Care Consultants in local development of relationships with business plan accounts which are targeted within the program’s MCO/ACO strategic focus8.

Plan, prepare and implement MCO/ACO/PHO presentations for internal staff to educate, train, and inform to assist them in providing excellent customer service and increasing census with these key accounts a.

Adapt presentations for external customers to educate, train and inform to build relationships, increase brand awareness, provide hospice education, and solidify strategic partnerships9.

Assist Admissions Department in understanding MCO designations and accurate data input into EMR systems10.

Assist and train teams how to utilize MCO report effectively to enhance customer relations and communication11.

Analyze MCO reports and other data points to ensure the organization’s hospice effectively provides relevant data to customers12.

Contribute to the growth and development of the organization by: a.

Meet regularly with ED and DBD to assist in supporting strategic focus with MCO/ACO/PHO and regional accounts b.

Meet regularly with MCO/ACO/PHO and regional customers to assess needs, build and maintain strategic relationships c.

Coordinate with Marketing to assist them in increasing census13.

Act as a customer service advocate, role model and mentor for staff14.

Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 1.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales or related field preferred2.

Previous experience in hospice, home health and or healthcare sales required3.

Demonstrated ability to work closely with a variety of people while effectively using problem-solving skills4.

Ability to analyze and utilize relevant data measures 5.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products and EMR systems 6.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 7.

Able to develop and present new In-Services8.
