Field Service Representative

We have a new, contract-to-hire opportunity for a Field Service Technician in Los Angeles, CA who is able to work Sunday through Thursday.  
 
This is a driving position which requires a DMV background check to be completed.
Use of reliable, personal vehicle required – miles reimbursed according to CompuCom policy.
 
Scope of Activity:
  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs systems, hardware, and computer peripherals
  • Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems
  • Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups
  • Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders, and replaces parts as needed
  • Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers’ needs
  • Responding to break-fix emergency repairs, touch-in visits, and after-hours wellness checks to client locations
  • Installation of kitchen program systems, point-of-sale systems, and any other related POS equipment
  • Duties could also include training of other field service personnel
 
 
Qualifications:
  • May require an Associate’s degree or its equivalent and entry-level – 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Works under immediate supervision
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment
  • Typically reports to a project leader or manager
  • Excellent customer relations is a must
  • Must have point-of-sale and installation experience
  • Experience with break-fix field service work
