Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

Wells Fargo recently announced their intent to sell the Corporate Trust Services (CTS) business to Computershare, a global specialized financial services company. The sale was announced in late March 2021 and is expected to close in the second half of 2021. We are continuing to recruit for all open positions supporting CTS, but want to ensure you are aware that this position, along with around 2000 others, will transfer to Computershare when the sale closes. This position is within Corporate Trust Services (CTS) – a division within Commercial Capital.
Responsible for selling Corporate Trust: corporate debt trustee, business/M&A escrow, insurance collateral trust, municipal and housing within largest, most complex target market segments with the greatest revenue impact. May participate in conferences or forums as an expert in trust services. Duties include; cold calling on new relationship prospects; making sales proposals to clients and negotiating pricing; providing continuity to prospective clients; develops short and long range marketing plans; participates in services pricing decisions; coordinate and market Corporate Trust internally with line relationship bankers and conduct regular portfolio reviews; work and coordinate with other internal lines of business; consistently markets and cross-sells all related bank products and services. Interacts with highest level financial officials in new account relationships. Will be focused on debt capital markets, public debt issued by middle and large corporations, municipal, government, housing, non-profits, higher-education, business and M&A escrows.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience

- Experience cultivating revenue generating customer relationships and self-sourced sales
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of corporate trust sales
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information

Other Desired Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of corporate trust sales
- Experience with capital markets, public debt, middle and large corporate businesses, business and M&A transactions, bank lending and relationship management
- Experience with corporate trust to include corporate debt, M&A and business escrows and insurance collateral trust
- Experience cross-selling bank services and products and partnering with other lines of businesses
- Experience in business development in the targeted markets including businesses, law firms, insurance related parties and other referral sources
- Experience with negotiations, pricing and capturing new business opportunities
Job Expectations
