Job Summary: The Line Cook is responsible for always delivering the highest quality food and service. Cooks are responsible for daily operational procedures and are responsible for food production and plating in accordance with company specs and timing standards. Cooks are responsible for following Company recipes at all times. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will bring honesty, integrity, and intensity to all that they do and produce. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations
  • Sets up and breaks down assigned station in time for service
  • Assists in control of inventory and supplies
  • Promotes a safe and respectful work environment
  • Complete tasks assigned by Chef in a timely efficient manner
  • Communicate all kitchen related needs to Chef or manager
  • Assist other stations when needed
  • Bring all tools and equipment and maintain in proper working order
  • Stay focused and hold self-accountable

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year experience of high-volume line cook experience required.
  • California Food Handlers certified.
  • Problem solver: ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Accountability: sets high expectations and achieves them regardless of the barriers
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and works well under pressure
  • Must have the ability to carry large trays and have the ability to organize multiple orders.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and late hours when necessary.
  • Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
  • Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to behave at all times based on a guest responsive culture where exceptional guest service prevails.
  • Have an upbeat, energetic, authentic, positive, and professional attitude at all times.
  • Know how to participate in a team environment and assist other departments when needed, providing lateral service.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
  • Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling/pushing, and stooping. Enter and locate work-related information using computers. Perform other job duties as requested.
  • Must show proof of vaccination against Covid-19.
