Come join us and help shape the future!WSP is currently searching for a Transit Vehicle Quality Assurance Representative to work at several potential locations in the United States. Specifically, WSP is seeking candidates to represent Transit Agency procurements of new buses ,re-furbishment of older buses as part of a midlife program and Qualaity Assurance audit inspections at various locations in the US. This position reports to the Bus Fleet Group Manager, within WSP’s Bus Fleet/Zero Emission Group. The selected individual will be responsible for providing part time, as needed technical expertise for the Bus Fleet/Zero Emission Group conducting resident inspection services for new bus manufacturing as well as inspection services at Agency locations. Inspections at Agency locations will be on various bus types including various length transit buses, commuter coaches, para- transit vehicles and support vehicles. The selected candidate will be supporting WSP’s clients engaged in the procurement, maintenance and operation of bus fleets. The selected candidate must be capable of travel and short to long-term work periods including working nights. Experience in bus fleets and associated specifications, inspection process, safety standards such as the North American Out of Service Criteria, and recommended maintenance practices is mandatory.Duties and Responsibilities:* Ability to conduct Quality Assurance audits during the manufacture of new buses or re-furbishment during a bus midlife program* Ability to read and understand technical specifications and drawings, discern that vehicles are being built to specification, and negotiate compliance with manufacturers.* Ability to conduct full audit and inspection of buses, coaches and other transit vehicles at client locations and recognize and report defects.* Ability to interpret project requirements and procedures* Ability to read and understand specifications, electrical and mechanical drawings* Ability to use measurement tools in the performance of inspection tasks* Detailed reporting of all findings* Computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)* People and communications skills working with clients, contractors, and colleagues* Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures* Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policiesThis role is subject to a client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy.
